Gurugram, Haryana, India, April 2026 — Kedar Apte has joined Medanta as Chief Marketing & Growth Officer, marking an important milestone in his leadership journey across marketing, growth strategy, business leadership, and consumer-facing transformation. His appointment reflects Medanta’s continued focus on strengthening its market presence and growth agenda as one of India’s leading healthcare groups.
Before joining Medanta, Kedar Apte was associated with the Mahindra Group, where he served as Sr. Vice President & Head of EV Charging Infrastructure and earlier as Chief of International Operations – Farm Equipment Sector. Prior to that, he held the role of Chief Marketing Officer : Jio-bp at bp. These assignments reflect a strong progression across growth leadership, market expansion, infrastructure development, and strategic business management.
A significant phase of his career was built at Castrol, where he held multiple senior leadership roles including Sales Director – Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan, Vice President Marketing (Chief Marketing Officer) – Castrol India & rest of sub continent, Deputy Marketing Head + Category Head : Commercial Vehicles category, and Category Head – Motorcycle Oils Category. Earlier, he spent nearly a decade with Hindustan Unilever Ltd, where he served as Regional Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Popular Soaps Portfolio, and Area Sales Manager. He also briefly served as Visiting Faculty for Statistics at the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. These roles highlight a long and accomplished journey across sales, brand marketing, category leadership, and business growth.
Academically, Kedar Apte holds an MMS in Marketing from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS). With experience spanning Medanta, Mahindra Group, bp, Castrol, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, and JBIMS, he brings a rich and well-rounded leadership profile to his new role. His appointment as Chief Marketing & Growth Officer is expected to support Medanta’s continued expansion and strengthen its patient-first growth strategy.
