Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, November 2024 – Kim Glithero has stepped into her new role as Vice-President, People and Culture at Universities Canada. With an extensive background in human resources and talent management, Kim will oversee the organization’s people strategies, fostering an environment of inclusion, innovation, and excellence to support its mission of advancing higher education, research, and innovation across Canada.
Kim brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served at Universities Canada for over six years. Most recently, she was the Director of Human Resources, where she spearheaded strategic HR initiatives, optimized employee engagement, and contributed significantly to the organization’s operational success. Previously, she held the position of Human Resources Manager, where she demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR policy development.
Before joining Universities Canada, Kim served as an HR Business Partner at Health Standards Organization (HSO). In this role, she provided comprehensive HR support, executed change management strategies, and led key initiatives during organizational restructuring. Her earlier tenure as an HR Specialist at HSO focused on planning, recruitment, recognition, and staff development, further establishing her credentials as a dedicated HR leader.
Kim’s career in HR began with roles such as Recruiter, International Operations at the Canadian Red Cross, where she supported global recruitment efforts, and Health Services Volunteer Resources Coordinator at Accreditation Canada, where she developed strategies for volunteer management. She also gained foundational experience as an HR Coordinator at Universal Forest Products, where she managed recruitment, compensation, and employee relations.
