London, United Kingdom, November 2025 — Kirsty Golden has begun a new chapter in her career as she takes on the role of Deputy Director of People at King’s College London, one of the world’s most prestigious universities. In this strategic leadership position, she will contribute to shaping the people agenda for a global institution known for academic excellence, research leadership, and a nearly 200-year legacy of impact.
Kirsty’s most recent experience at King’s College London includes her role as Senior Human Resources Business Partner, where she dedicated more than a year to enhancing employee experience, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and supporting organisational-wide people initiatives. Before that, she spent over three years as a People Partner, playing a key role in driving engagement and supporting academic and professional services functions.
Prior to joining King’s, Kirsty spent more than six years at the University of Exeter, where she progressed through several roles, beginning as an Employee Services Administrator, advancing to HR Advisor, and later serving as Associate HR Business Partner. During her tenure, she contributed to employee engagement, stakeholder management, and the delivery of people solutions for multiple university departments.
Earlier in her career, Kirsty worked with Age UK as a P & P Operations Co-ordinator, supporting people processes within a national organisation committed to improving the lives of older adults. She began her professional journey with The Insurance Group, where she served as an Insurance Advisor, building foundational skills in customer engagement, communication, and service operations.
With over a decade of experience across higher education, nonprofit, and service sectors, Kirsty Golden brings a rich understanding of people management, organisational development, and employee engagement to her new role at King’s College London.
