Colorado, United States, June 2026 — UCHealth has appointed Kristine Ortiz as Director of Human Resources, supporting Longs Peak Hospital and Broomfield Hospital.
Ortiz returns to UCHealth, bringing experience across healthcare, telecommunications, education, environmental services, and workforce management. Her appointment marks a return to an organization where she previously served in a human resources leadership role.
Prior to rejoining UCHealth, Ortiz served as Human Resources Director at In-Situ Environmental, where she led human resources initiatives supporting the organization’s workforce and business operations.
Before that, she spent nearly three years with Charter Communications as Senior Human Resources Manager – Network Operations, supporting HR strategy, employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Ortiz was associated with UCHealth as an HR Business Partner, where she partnered with leaders and teams across the healthcare system to support people strategy, employee engagement, workforce development, and operational effectiveness.
She also served as HR School Partner with Denver Public Schools, supporting human resources activities within one of Colorado’s largest educational systems.
Prior to that, Ortiz held HR Business Partner roles with Symphony Care Network and Legacy Healthcare LLC, further strengthening her experience within healthcare-focused organizations.
Earlier in her career, she spent several years with Massage Envy, where she served as HR Generalist and General Manager, overseeing people management, operations, employee development, and workforce administration responsibilities.
Throughout her career, Ortiz has developed experience across human resources leadership, employee relations, talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, leadership coaching, employee engagement, and HR business partnering.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration and Management from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
