Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada – October 2024 – Leanne Dixon has been appointed as the new Director, People Strategy & Employee Experience at Nova Scotia Power. In this role, Leanne will be responsible for designing and implementing HR strategies that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and overall experience, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a high-performing, inclusive workplace.
Leanne previously served as Director, Talent and Change at Nova Scotia Power for over three years, where she led strategic HR initiatives focused on talent development, regulatory compliance, and systemic change. During her tenure, she played a key role in driving cultural transformation and enhancing HR operations.

Before this, Leanne was the Senior Manager, Human Resources, Health & Wellness, and Talent Acquisition at Nova Scotia Power, overseeing HR services, employee wellbeing programs, and recruitment efforts for over two years. Her leadership in this role contributed significantly to improving organizational effectiveness and employee development.
Leanne also held the position of Senior Manager, Organizational Development and Health at Emera, where she managed HR strategies and employee wellness programs for six years. Earlier in her career, she worked as Regional Manager, HR Client Services at Nova Scotia Power and served as Human Resources Manager at IWK Health Centre, demonstrating her expertise in HR management, employee relations, and organizational development.
