Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, November 2025 — Lee Bakerman has started a new role as Chief People & Culture Officer at RSL LifeCare Limited, joining the Executive Leadership Team to strengthen organisational capability and culture as the organisation advances its mission of supporting veterans, seniors and families across Australia. In this role, Lee will lead the People & Culture function with a focus on building a values-led, high-accountability workforce aligned to service excellence, care delivery and organisational strategy.
Prior to joining RSL LifeCare Limited, Lee served as Chief People Officer at Virtus Health for approximately five years. In this role, Lee was a core member of the senior executive leadership team and played a pivotal role in shaping organisational culture and talent strategy across multiple global markets, including Australia, Ireland, Denmark, Singapore and the UK. The role supported Virtus Health’s purpose-driven vision of delivering personal fertility care through scientific precision, human compassion and continuous improvement.
Before Virtus Health, Lee contributed to more than six years of leadership at Broadspectrum (part of Ferrovial Group), one of Australia’s most established service organisations across infrastructure, defence, social and community services, and critical public sector environments. Lee held multiple General Manager Human Resources positions supporting more than 14,000 employees and led major HR transformation initiatives, industrial relations strategies, strategic bids, transitions and mobilisation projects across diverse workforces including defence, corrections, social infrastructure and health services.
Earlier in her career, Lee founded Windrose Consulting, specialising in organisational design, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic HR advisory. Prior to that, Lee also held senior people leadership roles at Norfolk Group, where she supported executive-level engagements, board-led HR initiatives, and organisational redesign during a period of acquisition and industry transformation.
Lee’s international career further includes senior HR and transformation leadership positions across Alstom, AREVA T&D, and Alstom Grid across Asia Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Over these years, she led large-scale organisation development programs, regional restructuring, talent systems, shared services implementations and capability uplift initiatives supporting thousands of employees across more than a dozen countries.
