Richmond, Virginia, United States, September 2024 – Louise Irwin Welch has taken on the role of Chief People Officer and Executive Vice President of People and Culture at Vista. In this position, Louise will lead Vista’s global people strategies, driving initiatives that support the company’s growing footprint across 17 countries and furthering its mission of empowering small businesses through design and marketing solutions.
Before joining Vista, Louise served as Director of Human Resources – Devices and Services at Amazon for over two years, where she spearheaded HR strategies for Amazon’s rapidly expanding Devices division. Her leadership focused on talent development, organizational transformation, and employee engagement in a high-paced, innovative environment.
Prior to her tenure at Amazon, Louise spent five years at Capital One. She held several senior roles, including Vice President, Product Management – Employee Experience, where she led the employee experience strategy, and Vice President, Head of Tech HR, driving talent development initiatives for Capital One’s tech teams. She also headed Learning and Development during her time at the company, building leadership and learning frameworks that scaled across Capital One’s tech workforce.
Louise’s career began at Google, where she spent over 14 years in various HR leadership roles. She was the Global Head of Talent Management and later the Global Head of Talent/HR Products, overseeing talent management strategies and global HR product implementation across the organization. Her experience spanned talent development, global HR strategies, and recruiting across multiple regions, including the US and Europe.
