Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 — UltraTech Cement, part of the Aditya Birla Group, has elevated Jayant Dua as Managing Director, effective April 1, 2026. The company also said its board has approved his appointment as an Additional Director, Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel from January 1, 2027, following the completion of the current Managing Director K. C. Jhanwar’s term on December 31, 2026.
Jayant Dua brings wide-ranging leadership experience across the Aditya Birla Group and its businesses. He is currently associated with the group as Business Head – Textiles and also serves as Business Head at Aditya Birla Renewables Limited, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Earlier, he was Chief Executive Officer for the Chlor Alkali Business, Aditya Birla Group, and before that served as CEO, Century Textiles & Ind Ltd. (Cement Business), where he was responsible for managing the business. His prior experience also includes a stint at UltraTech Cement Ltd. as Group Executive President.
He has also served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Birla Sunlife Insurance Company Ltd, and held CEO-level responsibilities within the Aditya Birla Group, including as CEO at Aditya Birla Insulators and as CEO and Managing Director at Birla NGK Insulators Pvt. Ltd. Earlier in his career, he worked with Grasim Ind Ltd. (Cement Business) in leadership roles spanning business strategy, marketing IT, brand management, and sales and marketing, and has also been associated with Holtec Consulting, NIIT, Shaw Wallace, and Hitkari Potteries (Plastic Division).
