Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway company, has announced a significant addition to its leadership team to bolster its operations in India, the Middle East, and Africa (IMEA). Nitin Mengi has been appointed as the Vice President of Lubrizol Additives for IMEA and will also serve as the Chairman and Managing Director of Lubrizol India Private Limited.
In his new roles, Mengi will be instrumental in driving growth for Lubrizol’s Additives business, which serves the transportation and industrial markets in the region. He will work alongside Bhavana Bindra, the recently appointed Managing Director for Lubrizol IMEA, to enhance the company’s strategic initiatives across these critical markets.
Flavio Kliger, SVP and President of Lubrizol Additives, emphasized the importance of this strategic hire, stating, “Lubrizol has continued to advance its priorities throughout IMEA, adding to our regional leadership team will help accelerate our work. Mengi brings over two decades of experience in leading cross-functional teams within the gas and oils industry, spanning various regions including Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East, and Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in petroleum and petrochemicals from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad.

Lubrizol is also expanding its facilities and capabilities in the region, highlighted by a $150 million investment in India. These initiatives are poised to significantly enhance Lubrizol’s production capacity and technological prowess in IMEA.
