Libertyville, Illinois, United States, November 2024 – Luis (Jose) Castillon has been named Chief People Officer at BCI Inc. In this role, he will oversee the company’s human resources strategy, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational development, and HR technology initiatives to drive the company’s mission of delivering high-quality acrylic bath and shower solutions.
Luis most recently served as Vice President of Human Resources at BCI Inc., where he led the design and execution of strategic HR initiatives. His responsibilities included developing comprehensive recruitment plans, enhancing employee engagement, implementing compensation strategies, and integrating advanced HR technologies to optimize workforce management.
Prior to his tenure at BCI, Luis was the Corporate Director of Human Resources at ACTS-Aviation Security Inc., where he managed HR functions across 30 sites in 20 states. He successfully negotiated a Union National Master Agreement and spearheaded the recruitment and transition of HR staff during a corporate relocation.
Earlier, Luis served as Director of Human Resources at Renewal Rehab, where he established the HR department from the ground up, streamlined HR functions, and supported the company’s growth from 1,500 to 2,500 employees. His achievements included implementing a new performance evaluation program and managing a successful payroll conversion.
Luis also held a long-standing role as Director of Human Resources & Safety at Groot Industries Inc., where he was instrumental in achieving compliance with DOT regulations, implementing a company-wide time and attendance system, and reducing the experience modifier rate for workers’ compensation.
