United Kingdom, June 2026 – Learning Pool has announced the promotion of Luke Simpson to Head of Talent, recognizing his significant contributions to the organization’s talent acquisition and people strategy over the past five years.
In his new role, Simpson will lead the company’s global talent function, overseeing talent acquisition strategy, workforce planning, succession planning, organizational development, and strategic people initiatives. He will work closely with senior leadership to ensure Learning Pool continues to attract, develop, and retain the talent required to support its growth across multiple international markets.
Luke Simpson has built an impressive career in talent acquisition, recruitment leadership, and people strategy, with extensive experience spanning technology, professional services, and learning technology sectors.
Prior to his promotion, he served as Talent Acquisition Manager at Learning Pool, where he led talent acquisition operations across the United Kingdom and the United States in a high-growth private equity-backed environment. In this role, he was responsible for developing recruitment strategies, enhancing hiring processes, strengthening employer branding, and ensuring the organization secured the capabilities required to support its expansion objectives.
Earlier, Simpson served as Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist and Talent Acquisition Specialist at Learning Pool, progressively taking on broader responsibilities across recruitment, stakeholder management, workforce planning, and talent engagement. Throughout his tenure, he played a key role in helping the company scale its workforce while supporting business leaders in building high-performing teams.
Before joining Learning Pool, he worked with Riada Resourcing as Business Manager – IT, where he focused on talent solutions and recruitment strategy within the technology sector. Prior to that, he served as Senior Technology Recruiter at Altra Executives, specializing in recruitment across technology leadership, IT infrastructure, architecture, business analysis, cybersecurity, project management, and digital transformation roles.
A significant portion of his early career was spent with Riada Resourcing, where he worked as a Recruitment Specialist – Permanent for nearly six years. During this period, he supported organizations across Northern Ireland with permanent recruitment solutions, workforce planning, talent sourcing, and HR consulting services across multiple sectors including engineering, finance, hospitality, HR, and professional services.
Over the course of more than a decade in talent and recruitment leadership, Simpson has developed deep expertise in talent acquisition, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, stakeholder engagement, employer branding, succession planning, and talent management.
