Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 – L&T Realty has announced the appointment of Varun Agarwal as its Chief Information Officer (CIO). Bringing more than two decades of global experience across digital transformation, enterprise technology, data analytics, supply chain technology, SAP transformation, artificial intelligence, and business process modernization, Agarwal will lead the company’s technology strategy as L&T Realty continues to expand its footprint across India’s real estate sector.
In his new role, he will be responsible for driving digital innovation, enterprise technology transformation, data-driven decision-making, cybersecurity, technology governance, and the adoption of emerging technologies to support L&T Realty’s growth ambitions and operational excellence.
Prior to joining L&T Realty, Varun Agarwal spent nearly a decade with Mondelēz International, where he held a series of increasingly strategic leadership roles within the company’s global digital and technology organization.
Most recently, he served as Director – Global SAP S4 & o9 Data & Analytics, Digital Services, leading large-scale data and analytics transformation initiatives supporting more than 10,000 users across multiple global markets. In this role, he was responsible for data strategy, analytics modernization, cloud-based solutions, SAP S/4HANA transformation support, and the integration of advanced planning and analytics capabilities across the enterprise.
Prior to that, Agarwal served as Director – Global Sales Data & Analytics, where he led teams of data scientists, engineers, and analytics professionals in developing AI and machine learning solutions for pricing, promotion optimization, assortment planning, sales analytics, and algorithmic selling. These solutions were deployed across more than 30 markets globally, supporting business growth and operational productivity.
Earlier, as Director – Global Planning Tower & Transformation Lead, he spearheaded integrated supply chain transformation programs spanning planning, sales, finance, master data, analytics, and intelligent automation. During this period, he successfully led several global planning initiatives, advanced demand planning deployments, inventory optimization programs, and large-scale business process redesign projects.
He also served as Global Solution Owner – Order Management & Customer Collaboration, where he drove strategic technology initiatives involving vendor-managed inventory programs, compliance solutions, e-invoicing platforms, and business continuity efforts, including the successful recovery of critical systems following a major cybersecurity incident.
Before joining Mondelēz, Agarwal spent more than nine years with Mead Johnson Nutrition (now part of Reckitt), holding several regional and global supply chain technology leadership positions. His roles included Senior Manager – Supply Chain Solutions, Asia & Europe, Asia Regional Supply Planning Manager, and SAP Supply Chain Analyst. During this period, he led SAP and APO implementations, integrated business planning programs, supply chain optimization initiatives, inventory reduction strategies, and regional planning transformation efforts across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Advansoft Worldwide Inc. as a SAP/APO Supply Chain Planning Consultant, supporting leading global organizations including Home Depot, Bristol Myers Squibb, Mead Johnson Nutrition, and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. These assignments helped him develop deep expertise in enterprise technology, SAP planning systems, order-to-cash processes, forecasting, replenishment, and supply chain optimization.
Varun Agarwal recently completed the Information Technology Management for Strategic Business Leadership: For Future CIOs and CTOs program at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad). He also holds a postgraduate qualification in Data Science and Business Analytics from the Texas McCombs School of Business through the Great Learning program.
His educational background complements his extensive experience in enterprise technology, digital transformation, analytics, artificial intelligence, and business leadership.
