Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, October, 2024 – Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has announced the appointment of Sagar Sanjay Dighe, former CEO of SATS Food India (SFSI), as the new Head of MAG Catering Operations (MCAT), effective November 1, 2024. Reporting directly to Mohd Nadziruddin Mohd Basri, CEO of Aviation Services (MAG), Sagar is tasked with guiding MCAT’s growth and ensuring the highest standards of service quality. At SFSI, Sagar played a pivotal role in establishing a state-of-the-art frozen food production facility and expanding into the non-aviation food sector. His leadership also drove the successful relaunch of the Taj SATS brand in aviation catering.

Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of MAG, commented on Sagar’s appointment, stating, “Sagar brings fresh perspectives and a wealth of experience to advance MCAT’s growth objectives, drive innovation, and enhance service quality.” He emphasized the group’s commitment to diversifying its business portfolio to contribute 30% of its topline revenue by 2027, in line with its vision to become Asia’s leading travel and aviation services group.

Since its inception in September 2023, MCAT has undergone significant transformation, evolving from a temporary F&B distribution center at KLIA to a standalone entity. In June 2024, MCAT expanded its operations from 36,000 square feet to 70,900 square feet, significantly boosting capacity and efficiency while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.
