Martino Ottimofiore Appointed as Chief People Officer IMEA at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 2024 – Martino Ottimofiore has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer IMEA at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. In his role, Martino will oversee human resources and people operations across the India, Middle East, and Africa regions. His strategic leadership will focus on driving HR transformation, optimizing talent management, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration within the global logistics giant.

Before joining Hellmann, Martino Ottimofiore served as the Head of HR Operations IMEA at A.P. Moller – Maersk for two years. In this capacity, he managed a team of 24 People Partners across Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia, delivering impactful HR service models and improving employee satisfaction. His efforts led to the implementation of self-service functionalities in Workday, achieving the highest engagement score among internal peer groups.

Prior to that, Martino held the role of HR Transformation Lead for Southern Europe at A.P. Moller – Maersk. During his tenure, he successfully launched HR service models for Spain, Portugal, and Croatia and refined rollout plans for 74 other countries. His ability to lead change management initiatives and develop governance structures made him a global benchmark within the organization.

Martino’s earlier experience includes serving as the Regional Head of Human Resources for Inland Services Africa at APM Terminals, where he strengthened the talent pipeline and integrated Inland Services into the larger Maersk Africa organization. His diverse HR expertise spans multiple regions, including Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, with a strong focus on HR transformation, leadership development, and operational alignment.
