Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, March 2025 – Mark Caldwell has been promoted to the position of Senior Director, Talent Management at TIAA, marking a significant milestone in his career with the organization. In his new role, Mark will lead strategic talent initiatives, focusing on leadership development, succession planning, and performance management to support the company’s long-term people and business goals.
Mark has been with TIAA for nearly two years, having previously served as Director, Talent Management, where he was instrumental in enhancing leadership programs and talent processes. Prior to joining TIAA, Mark worked as an Independent Consultant under MCA Consulting, where he specialized in executive coaching, assessment, and leadership development across industries.

Earlier in his career, Mark spent close to nine years at Trane Technologies, holding leadership roles in both Executive Development and Executive Recruiting. He led the planning and execution of high-impact programs such as the CEO’s Leadership Summit and the Executive Leadership Program, and co-developed the company’s first internal coaching cadre.
Before that, Mark built deep expertise in executive search with nearly six years at Heidrick & Struggles, where he was part of the CEO & Board and Education & Social Enterprise Practices, managing full-cycle search projects for senior leadership roles. He began his career at the University of Virginia, where he held several roles focused on educational outreach and student development.
