Denver, Colorado, United States, December 2024 – Mark Tapy has been promoted to Director of Talent Management at Pinnacol Assurance. In this role, Mark will lead the design and implementation of comprehensive talent management strategies aligned with Pinnacol’s goals. His focus will include performance management, talent development, succession planning, and enhancing employee experiences through data-driven decision-making. Additionally, he will support the Apprenticeship Program and the Talent Acquisition teams, reinforcing Pinnacol’s reputation as a top workplace.
Mark joined Pinnacol Assurance in 2017 as Apprenticeship Program Manager, where he oversaw the development and implementation of a robust apprenticeship model in partnership with Colorado’s CareerWise initiative. Under his leadership, the program provided meaningful career exposure to youth, focusing on customer experience, underwriting, and claims.

In 2022, Mark was promoted to Senior Talent Management Manager, where he played a pivotal role in creating impactful career development systems and resources to attract, grow, and retain top talent in Colorado. His innovative contributions have significantly enhanced organizational growth and employee satisfaction.
Prior to his tenure at Pinnacol, Mark served as Interim President of CareerWise Colorado, championing modern youth apprenticeship systems across the state. He also held leadership roles at Goodwill Industries of Denver, where he managed youth career development services, and Gemini Consulting Group, focusing on strategic partnerships and market analysis.
