Kansas City, Missouri, United States, August 2024 – Melissa Allison has taken on the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Russell Stover Chocolates. Melissa brings a wealth of experience in human resources leadership and strategy, which will be instrumental in driving HR initiatives and fostering a positive work environment at Russell Stover Chocolates.

Melissa Allison joins Russell Stover Chocolates after serving as the Chief People Officer at Foley Equipment for approximately 8 months. In this role, she was responsible for leading HR strategies, enhancing employee engagement, and aligning HR functions with the company’s overall business objectives.

Prior to Foley Equipment, Melissa was the Human Resources Director at Honeywell for about 2 years and 4 months. During her tenure, she managed HR operations, implemented HR policies, and supported organizational development to drive business growth.

Melissa also served as the Human Resources Director at Olin for nearly 1 year and 9 months. Her responsibilities included overseeing HR functions, talent management, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations.

In addition, Melissa held the position of Director of Human Resources at Orbital ATK for approximately 3 years and 8 months. She led HR initiatives, managed employee relations, and contributed to the company’s HR strategy and planning.

Her earlier career includes roles such as Human Resources Director at Tension Envelope Corporation and RSC Equipment Rental, where she gained extensive experience in HR management and operations.

Russell Stover Chocolates is a leader in the manufacturer of boxed chocolates. The company’s three brands – Russell Stover, Whitman’s, and Pangburn’s – are sold in company-owned retail stores and 70,000 wholesale accounts. After 100 years in operation, the company manufactures approximately 100 million pounds of chocolate candies each year in its proud tradition of being “Made in America” and “Handcrafted in Small Batches.”

In September 2014, Russell Stover Chocolates was acquired by Lindt and Sprungli, the world leader in premium chocolates.
