Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, November 2024 – Michele Gilbert has been appointed as Head of Talent & Performance Management at Dart, where she will lead initiatives to enhance talent acquisition, development, and performance strategies across the company’s diverse industries. Michele’s extensive expertise in talent management and organizational development aligns seamlessly with Dart’s mission to stimulate sustainable economic growth and improve the quality of life in the Cayman Islands.
Before joining Dart, Michele served as the Global Head of Learning & Development: Talent Management at Vale Base Metals, where she oversaw global programs to drive talent optimization and organizational effectiveness. During her tenure, she delivered impactful learning solutions and spearheaded talent strategies for Vale’s international operations.
Michele’s leadership roles also include her position as Head of Organizational Design North Atlantic and Head of Learning & Development North Atlantic at Vale, where she managed organizational strategy and capability-building programs across Canada, the UK, China, and Japan. She played a crucial role in transforming organizational structures to align with business goals.
Earlier in her career, Michele worked at Trans Mountain as a leader in Organizational Development & Optimization, where she designed and implemented policies and programs that fostered diversity, inclusion, and operational excellence. As the Practice Lead for North & South Americas at WorleyParsons, she developed strategies for talent pipelines and successfully managed projects across geographically dispersed teams.
Michele’s experience also includes her tenure as Vice President of Transformation & People at Murray & Roberts, where she led compliance and workforce transformation initiatives during a period of significant legislative and organizational change in post-apartheid South Africa.
