Alight appoints Michelle Kornowski as the new Director of HR Compliance, Compensation, and Benefits.

Her appointment marks a significant stride in Alight’s mission to support individuals in conflict and crisis rebuild lives of dignity and purpose.
Kornowski’s journey to Alight is paved with extensive leadership and strategic roles in the human resources field. Prior to joining Alight, she held a pivotal position as Vice President/Director of Human Resources at ESG | Architecture & Design in Minneapolis, where she worked closely with executive leadership to align talent management strategies with the organization’s long-term goals. Her efforts in developing competitive compensation, benefits, and employee incentive programs were instrumental in driving organizational success and market competitiveness.
Before her tenure at ESG | Architecture & Design, Kornowski served as the Human Resources Director at Twin Cities R!SE. There, she led initiatives in workforce planning, talent strategies, and diversity and inclusion efforts, significantly contributing to the organization’s growth and development. Her leadership in HR policies, procedures, and standards showcased her dedication to creating inclusive and supportive work environments.
In her earlier role as Director of Human Resources and Operations at East Side Neighborhood Services, Kornowski was responsible for the comprehensive management of HR functions and operational strategies. This role highlighted her ability to oversee and implement effective HR and operational policies that fostered organizational excellence.
