In his new role, Shearer will lead global commercial strategy, go-to-market execution, revenue growth initiatives, and cross-functional business expansion efforts as the organization accelerates its growth in pharmaceutical and biotechnology research and development services.
Mike Shearer brings over two decades of global business development and commercial leadership experience, most recently serving at Catalent Pharma Solutions, where he spent over twenty-one years in progressively senior leadership roles. His responsibilities spanned Vice President, Global Business Development – Zydis, Vice President, Global Business Development, and Vice President, Business Development – North America, where he played a pivotal role in driving large-value deals, scaling global BD teams, exceeding sales targets, and restructuring commercial territories to maximize revenue and client engagement.
Prior to his senior vice-president level leadership roles, Shearer held key director-level positions at Catalent, including Director of Business Development – North America and Director of Business Development – Western & Central Regions, where he built and led multi-region sales teams, spearheaded territory realignments, and consistently earned multiple President’s Club Awards for exceptional revenue growth and commercial performance.
Earlier in his career, Shearer developed a strong foundation in enterprise business development and account leadership as Senior Account Executive and Account Executive at Catalent, generating multimillion-dollar revenue growth, and as Senior Business Development Specialist at Quintiles (now IQVIA), where he focused on strategic client expansion, revenue optimization, and enterprise relationship development.
