Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, February 2026 — Moataz M. has started a new role as Head of Supply Chain Management – Saudi Arabia RHQ & UAE at Novartis, overseeing supply chain strategy and operations across two key regional hubs. His appointment strengthens Novartis’ operational leadership in the Middle East, supporting the company’s mission to deliver innovative medicines efficiently to patients and healthcare systems.
Prior to this expanded role, Moataz M. served in multiple senior supply chain leadership positions at Novartis, including Head of Supply Chain Management – UAE and Head of Supply Chain Management Saudi Arabia (ad-interim). He also worked as Regional Supply and Demand Manager for the Middle East and North Africa and Supply Chain Manager – Gulf Cluster, where he built deep expertise in regional planning, cross-market coordination, and operational excellence.
Earlier in his career, Moataz M. was Demand & Supply Planning Manager at Al Khayyat Investments, leading healthcare demand and planning operations. He also held senior roles at Ebn Sina Medical in Qatar, including Procurement & Supply Chain Division Head and Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator, strengthening integrated supply and logistics capabilities.
He began his professional journey in the pharmaceutical sector with commercial roles at Novartis and Eli Lilly and Company, gaining frontline healthcare market experience that later informed his transition into strategic supply chain leadership.
