Basel, Switzerland, February 2026 — Genedata, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions enabling global Biopharma R&D, has announced that Monica Swandayanie has started a new position as CHRO / Vice President Human Resources. In this role, Monica will lead Genedata’s global people strategy, strengthening leadership capability, talent systems, and organizational effectiveness as the company continues to scale its impact as part of Danaher.
With a highly accomplished international HR leadership career spanning biotech, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and industrial businesses, Monica brings deep expertise in talent strategy, DE&I, organizational development, leadership development, culture transformation, labor relations, and workforce planning. Her appointment further reinforces Genedata’s commitment to building future-ready people capabilities aligned with innovation-led growth.
Before joining Genedata, Monica Swandayanie served for over 3 years at Cytiva (Danaher Biotechnology Group) as VP Talent, based in Basel, Switzerland. In this role, she led key talent and organizational agenda areas including DE&I, learning, organization development, talent management, leadership capability, and talent acquisition, contributing to talent transformation across one of the world’s most dynamic biotechnology platforms.
Prior to Cytiva, she worked with Lonza for nearly 3 years as Global Head of Talent and Organization Development in Basel, Switzerland, focusing on global talent frameworks, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development initiatives critical to a high-growth, innovation-driven life sciences enterprise.
Earlier, Monica served with Baxter International Inc. for over 3 years as Head of Talent Management EMEA, based in Zurich, Switzerland, where she drove regional talent management strategy and capability building initiatives across diverse healthcare markets.
She also held significant global roles at GE, serving as Global HR Business Partner / Director Global Talent Management for Power Services, where she contributed to large-scale talent strategy and HR transformation programs, including involvement in the GE / Alstom M&A integration, strengthening her expertise in organizational integration and culture transformation.
Monica spent over a decade with Philip Morris International, progressing through multiple leadership roles including Manager Organization Development, Human Resources Business Partner, Manager Global CoE Talent Acquisition, Manager Learning & Performance Management, and Manager Recruitment and Training—building a strong foundation across learning, recruitment, performance, talent acquisition, and organizational development in a multinational environment.
Earlier in her career, she served as Human Resources Manager at Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, and began her professional journey with Procter & Gamble as Manager Recruitment and HR Business Partner, building early expertise in strong HR fundamentals, recruitment excellence, and business partnering.
