Pune, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 – Nikhil Bharadwaj has been elevated to the role of Associate Senior Vice President & Head of Customer Care at Bajaj General Insurance Limited, marking a significant milestone in his nearly two-decade-long journey with the organization. In addition to leading customer service, he will also serve as a mentor for Corporate Communications, further strengthening the company’s customer-first and communication-led strategy.
Nikhil Bharadwaj has built an extensive and impactful career with Bajaj General Insurance Limited, spanning close to 20 years across multiple leadership roles. In his new role, he will lead the customer service function, driving excellence in customer experience while continuing to contribute to the organization’s communication strategy through mentoring.
Prior to this elevation, he served as Vice President & Head – Corporate Communications, where he led strategic communication initiatives to build brand reputation, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and position leadership as industry thought leaders. His work spanned both internal and external communications, including media relations, crisis communication, ESG storytelling, and employee engagement initiatives.
Earlier, he held the role of Head – Corporate Communications, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s communication strategy, driving impactful campaigns, and building trust with customers and stakeholders. His leadership also extended to innovative initiatives such as hosting the “Hear and Now” podcast, enhancing internal culture, and strengthening brand visibility across channels.
Before moving into communications leadership, Nikhil led Web Sales as Vertical Head – Web Sales, driving digital growth and expanding online insurance distribution channels. He also held roles in bancassurance and sales, including National Coordinator – Retail Bancassurance and Regional Sales Manager – Bancassurance, building strong partnerships and driving business growth across regions.
He began his journey with the organization as a Management Trainee, gaining foundational experience across functions and contributing to key initiatives such as setting up a call center. He holds a PGDM from the Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR), Pune, and has completed an executive program in Digital and Social Media from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
