New Delhi, Delhi, India, July 2026 — Zscaler has appointed Nikhil Mehrotra as Senior Director of Marketing. In his new role, he will lead the company’s marketing strategy and execution in India, driving brand growth, demand generation, customer engagement, and strategic marketing initiatives to support Zscaler’s continued expansion in one of the world’s fastest-growing cybersecurity markets.
Nikhil joins Zscaler after an accomplished nearly nine-year tenure at Nutanix, where he held several senior marketing leadership roles across India and the Asia-Pacific region. Most recently, he served as Director, Field Marketing – India, where he was a member of the India leadership team responsible for leading the company’s marketing strategy and execution across the country. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in strengthening Nutanix’s market presence, driving demand generation, building strategic customer engagement programs, and supporting business growth. His work also earned industry recognition, including the CMO Asia Marketing Campaign of the Year Award for the Nutanix 2.0 – HCI to Hybrid Cloud campaign.
Prior to that, Nikhil served as Head of Enterprise Marketing, Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ), where he led regional marketing initiatives across multiple markets, partnering closely with theatre leadership teams to develop integrated campaigns focused on pipeline creation and revenue acceleration. He also worked extensively on account-based marketing strategies for global strategic accounts, helping strengthen customer relationships across the region.
Earlier at Nutanix, he served as Global Accounts Marketing Manager, leading account-based marketing initiatives for some of the company’s largest global customers across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas while also supporting global systems integrator (GSI) partnerships through joint marketing programs.
Before joining Nutanix, Nikhil spent over five years with Dell EMC, where he held multiple regional marketing leadership positions, including Channel Program Manager – Asia Pacific & Japan, Partner Marketing Lead – India, and Manager, Field Marketing – India & SAARC. During this period, he successfully designed and executed partner marketing strategies, regional channel programs, large-scale industry events, and collaborative initiatives that strengthened Dell EMC’s partner ecosystem across the region.
Earlier in his career, Nikhil served as Head of Marketing at vCustomer and held marketing leadership positions with Nokia Siemens Networks and Microsoft, where he managed regional marketing, global campaign localization, customer engagement initiatives, partner marketing, and marketing operations. He began his professional journey with Webchutney, progressing from Client Partner to working closely with Microsoft India on strategic marketing initiatives.
