Partners Life, a New Zealand-based leader in life and health insurance, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Michael Weston as its new CEO. Weston transitions into this pivotal role following his recent tenure as Head of Strategy and Transformation for Manulife in Asia, stationed in Hong Kong.
With an extensive experience in financial services, covering operational, transformational, and strategic aspects, alongside a deep understanding of various international markets, Weston brings a wealth of experience to Partners Life. Australian by birth and married to a New Zealander, Weston and his wife are enthusiastic about their return to New Zealand, viewing it as a homecoming and a significant new chapter with Partners Life.
Expressing his enthusiasm in taking up the CEO mantle, Weston praised the legacy of Naomi Ballantyne, the company’s founder, and the solid groundwork laid by her and the team. He is eager to contribute to the company’s mission of impacting customers’ lives positively and the broader community while fostering growth and delivering value for its parent company, Dai-ichi Life.
