Singapore, July 2026 — Unilever has elevated Pinkustar Borah to the role of Chief Digital & Technology Officer, Unilever International, marking his first international assignment outside India after a distinguished career spanning nearly 20 years with Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). Based in Singapore, Pinkustar will lead the digital and technology agenda for Unilever International, driving innovation, digital transformation, customer-centric technology solutions, and business growth across global markets.
Prior to this elevation, Pinkustar served as Chief Digital & Information Officer – Personal Care & Customer Experience at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), where he spearheaded digital transformation initiatives across Personal Care, Customer Experience, eB2B platform Shikhar, Route-to-Market, eCommerce, Modern Trade, and M&A integration. Earlier, he was Director & Head of IT – Customer Experience, South Asia, leading the region’s customer-focused digital strategy and technology roadmap.
Before that, Pinkustar held several progressively senior technology leadership positions within HUL, including Technology Lead – Customer Development, UniOps South Asia, Senior IT Manager – Customer Development, and Head of IT – Unilever Nepal, where he drove digital capabilities across customer development, distributor management systems, digital payments, business operations, and enterprise technology. His leadership played a key role in modernizing customer engagement and enabling technology-driven commercial excellence across South Asia.
Pinkustar began his journey with Hindustan Unilever Limited in 2007 as an IT Executive, supporting manufacturing operations across the company’s facilities in Assam and West Bengal. He later served as Senior IT Executive, IT Business Partner – Unilever Sri Lanka, and Assistant IT Manager – Customer Development, steadily expanding his expertise across supply chain, finance, manufacturing technology, customer development, enterprise systems, and regional digital transformation. Over nearly two decades, he has consistently delivered impactful technology solutions supporting HUL’s business growth and operational excellence.
With almost 20 years of experience in digital transformation, enterprise technology, customer experience, supply chain systems, commercial technology, and IT leadership, Pinkustar has established himself as one of Unilever’s accomplished digital leaders. His elevation to this global role reflects Unilever’s confidence in his ability to accelerate innovation and strengthen digital capabilities across its international business.
