Poornima Kamath Appointed as Head of People & Culture, APAC at Amadeus

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, August 2025 — Amadeus has appointed Poornima Kamath (She/her/hers) as Head of People & Culture, APAC, bringing with her over two decades of HR leadership experience across diverse global markets. In her new role, she will drive the company’s people and culture strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, leveraging her expertise in talent acquisition, leadership capability development, organizational effectiveness, and cultural transformation.

Prior to joining Amadeus, Poornima served as Head of People and Culture at Fi for three years, where she led strategic HR initiatives and designed culture-building programs to foster employee engagement and high performance.

Earlier, at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, she held several senior leadership positions, including Head of Sales and Commercial HR, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, and National Head – HR, Corporate & Services. In these roles, she played a pivotal part in driving organizational transformation, advancing diversity and inclusion agendas, and implementing innovative HR strategies that strengthened talent pipelines.

Poornima’s 12+ year tenure at Microsoft spanned roles in Research India, APAC Services, and Services Global Delivery, where she rolled out new performance models, established leadership development programs, and influenced cultural change across multiple countries including Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Korea, the Middle East, South Africa, and Eastern Europe.

She began her career at Mysis Healthcare, where she built a strong foundation in HR operations, payroll, induction, and training. Poornima holds a Master’s Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from Bangalore University.
