Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 – Takeda has appointed Prabhat Sinha as Head of Corporate Affairs, strengthening its leadership as it continues to advance its mission of transforming patient lives through innovation, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
In this role, Sinha will lead the corporate affairs function, driving policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategies aligned with Takeda’s purpose of improving patient outcomes and contributing to healthcare advancement.
Prior to joining Takeda, Sinha served as Director – Government and Public Affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim, where he led strategic policy advocacy initiatives and strengthened the company’s engagement with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.
Earlier, he held the role of Head – Patient Advocacy at Pfizer India, where he focused on building strategic partnerships and advancing patient-centric initiatives. His work significantly contributed to strengthening patient advocacy frameworks and engagement strategies.
Sinha also spent over four years at Novartis Oncology, where he served as Head of Communications, Policy & Patient Advocacy, in addition to leading regional patient advocacy initiatives across Asia Pacific markets. During this period, he played a key role in shaping communication strategies and driving cross-market advocacy programs.
Before that, he worked with Novo Nordisk and Novartis in public affairs and communications roles, further strengthening his expertise in healthcare policy and stakeholder engagement.
His earlier career includes impactful roles at Eli Lilly and Company, Sightsavers, CARE India, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh, where he led large-scale development programs focused on public health, community development, and social impact.
Sinha holds an MBA from Xavier Institute of Social Service and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi.
