Mumbai, Maharashtra, India March 2025–Prateek Kumar has been appointed as the Senior Vice President – Asset Analytics at HSBC, where he brings a wealth of experience from over a decade in retail banking, credit cards, risk management, and analytics transformation. His deep expertise in financial modeling, fraud mitigation, and machine learning will be central to advancing HSBC’s capabilities in portfolio risk optimization and product innovation.
Prior to his new role, Prateek served as VP – Assets and Transactional Banking Analytics Lead at HSBC, where he made significant contributions in data visualization, marketing strategy, and fraud detection. His strategic approach to credit risk management, pricing optimization, and customer segmentation has notably enhanced decision-making processes within the bank.
Before rejoining HSBC, Prateek enriched his professional experience at leading financial and consulting organizations including JPMorganChase, EY, and HSBC Vietnam. Throughout his career, Prateek has been recognized as a thought leader in analytics transformation and technology consulting, particularly known for his work in AI-driven models for fraud scoring and risk assessment.
