San Francisco, California, United States, April 2026 – Pattern Energy has announced the appointment of Prathima Sundar as its Chief People Officer (CPO), reinforcing its commitment to building a strong, people-centric organization as it scales its global renewable energy operations.
In her new role, Prathima Sundar will lead the company’s people strategy, culture transformation, and talent initiatives, playing a pivotal role in strengthening organizational capability and supporting business growth. Known for her empathetic and clarity-driven leadership style, she brings a strong belief that people perform at their best when they feel valued, heard, and empowered.
Prior to joining Pattern Energy, Prathima Sundar spent nearly a decade with ENGIE North America Inc., where she most recently served as Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer for Corporate Communications, Integration & Transformation – North America. In this role, she led complex HR transformations, corporate restructuring initiatives, and enterprise-wide people strategies across the U.S. and Canadian businesses.
During her tenure at ENGIE, she also held leadership roles overseeing HR Business Partnerships, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Culture, and Communications, where she drove large-scale initiatives in talent management, compensation frameworks, and organizational transformation, aligning HR strategy closely with business outcomes.
Earlier in her career, she served as Associate Director of People & Performance at Easter Seals Bay Area, where she built the HR function from the ground up during a high-growth phase, significantly enhancing employee engagement, retention, and organizational capability.
She also held roles at PT Gaming, LLC and the Employment Development Department, where she gained strong experience in organizational development, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and HR transformation across complex and large-scale environments.
With a career spanning public sector, non-profit, and global energy organizations, Prathima Sundar brings deep expertise in HR transformation, leadership development, and culture building, making her well-positioned to drive Pattern Energy’s next phase of growth.
