Hyderabad, Telangana, India, May 2026 – The Hartford India has appointed Pritam Banerjee as Senior Director, where he will lead artificial intelligence initiatives across multiple lines of business.
Sharing his thoughts on the new role, Pritam Banerjee stated that the opportunity will enable him to drive meaningful transformation by leveraging technology to modernize platforms, enhance customer experiences, and deliver business value at scale.
Before joining The Hartford India, Pritam Banerjee held several strategic AI and innovation leadership positions at Chubb over nearly six years. Most recently, he served as Head of Global New Frontiers (Vice President), where he led the establishment of a global innovation charter focused on AI-enabled products, scalable platforms, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
Earlier at Chubb, he led the company’s AI Products function, building scalable AI product capabilities and accelerating deployment of enterprise AI solutions. As Assistant Vice President, he established the Claims AI and Unstructured Center of Excellence, leading enterprise-wide claims, underwriting, and risk management analytics programs while identifying multimillion-dollar recovery and fraud detection opportunities.
His leadership journey also includes heading advanced analytics engagements across APAC and EMEA regions at Chubb, where he developed AI-driven fraud detection systems, graph embedding algorithms, and risk intelligence platforms powered by large-scale unstructured data analysis.
Prior to Chubb, Pritam Banerjee held leadership roles with EXL, where he established insurance analytics practices in the UK and delivered AI-led transformation programs for global insurers and logistics organizations. His earlier experience includes strategic and analytics-focused assignments with Suzlon Group, Deloitte, and i3 Consulting, spanning business transformation, risk analytics, customer intelligence, operational excellence, and digital innovation.
In addition to his corporate leadership roles, Pritam Banerjee has remained actively engaged with academia and industry ecosystems. He has served as a visiting faculty member at Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, mentored students in AI and data science programs, and participated in multiple AI governance, innovation, and entrepreneurship initiatives globally.
Pritam Banerjee completed his PGP from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad between 2012 and 2014.
