PrizePicks, North America’s largest daily fantasy sports operator, has expanded its leadership team with two significant appointments: Renee White has been named Chief People Officer (CPO), and Phil Sherwood steps in as Senior Director of Responsible Gaming, both reporting to Adam Wexler, the company’s Co-founder and CEO.
“Renee and Phil bring invaluable experience that will accelerate our growth as a company,” stated Adam Wexler. “Renee’s storied career as a people leader and her ties to the Atlanta community cannot be understated; having her join us at such a crucial phase for the company is pivotal. Combined with Phil expanding upon our responsible gaming initiatives, I’m excited to see both play a role in ensuring our business continues to prioritize its two most valued assets: our people and our players.”
Renee White joins PrizePicks from Warner Bros. Discovery, where she most recently headed the People & Culture function for Turner Sports, Bleacher Report, and Turner Studios. With nearly two decades at Warner Bros. Discovery, White has extensive experience in human resources, spearheading strategies that enhance organizational culture and foster inclusive environments. As CPO, White will lead PrizePicks’ human resources team, focusing on talent development and ensuring the company’s culture thrives through its rapid expansion phase.
Phil Sherwood will be leading PrizePicks’ responsible gaming policies, bringing a wealth of experience from his previous role as Chief Communications Officer at the Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health. His contributions have included pioneering responsible gaming measures like the Remote Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program and the establishment of a 24/7 LiveChat service. Sherwood’s efforts will continue to safeguard the integrity of the daily fantasy sports experience for all participants.
