Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Liberty General Insurance has appointed Puja Agarwal (Biyani) as President – Human Resources. As a member of both the India Leadership Team and the Liberty APAC HR Leadership Team, she will lead the company’s people agenda, strengthen talent capabilities and further the One Liberty culture while supporting the organization’s continued growth.
Puja joins Liberty General Insurance with more than 22 years of human resources leadership experience across banking, asset management, home finance and financial services. Her expertise spans business partnering, talent acquisition, leadership development, talent management, change management, compensation and benefits, and organizational transformation. She is also an ICF-certified coach and facilitator.
Prior to joining Liberty General Insurance, Puja served as Head – Campus & Central Recruitment at ICICI Bank for around two years, where she led recruitment for campus hiring and central functions across the organization.
Earlier, she spent nearly five years as Head of Human Resources at ICICI Home Finance Company Limited, leading strategic and operational HR initiatives focused on employee experience, talent management and organizational effectiveness.
Before that, Puja built an exceptional career spanning more than 15 years with ICICI Prudential AMC Ltd. Beginning her journey as a Management Trainee, she progressed to become Head – Corporate Human Resources, gaining extensive experience across talent acquisition, performance management, learning and organizational development, employee engagement, HR operations, compensation, business partnering and leadership development.
Puja has further strengthened her HR leadership credentials through executive education in Human Resources Management from Indian School of Business. She also holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from International School of Business & Media.
