Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India, February 2025 – Rajesh Kumar Mohapatra has been appointed as Director – Rail and Inland Terminal Vertical at DP World, where he will lead rail and inland terminal operations across multiple locations. With a deep expertise in supply chain management, business development, rail logistics, and end-to-end freight operations, he has played a crucial role in optimizing logistics efficiency and enhancing intermodal connectivity. In his new role, Rajesh will focus on strategic growth, operational excellence, and integrating advanced logistics solutions to streamline DP World’s inland operations.
Rajesh has been with DP World for over five years, most recently serving as Director – Rail and Inland Terminals at Modinagar for the past two years. In this role, he was responsible for managing rail terminal operations, optimizing logistics infrastructure, and driving profitability. His expertise in supply chain solutions, business expansion, and P&L management has contributed significantly to DP World’s inland terminal growth.
Before this, he was Business Unit Head at DP World’s Panipat operations, where he successfully led logistics transformation and operational strategy for three years. His leadership was instrumental in enhancing freight movement efficiency, managing inland container depots, and strengthening supply chain integration.
Prior to joining DP World, Rajesh spent over 12 years at International Cargo Terminals & Rail Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., where he served in multiple leadership positions. As General Manager – Rail Operations Head (PAN India), he managed nationwide rail logistics operations and was instrumental in the growth of ICD Sonepat (Delhi International Cargo Terminal). Earlier, he held the role of AGM – Regional Rail Head, overseeing Southern, Eastern, and Central India, where he played a pivotal role in expanding rail freight corridors, optimizing cargo movement, and enhancing terminal efficiencies.
His earlier experience includes serving as Branch Head of Orissa at Brink’s Arya India Pvt. Ltd., where he was responsible for regional logistics operations and business expansion for seven years. He also worked at Nippon Koei as Manager – Finance & Administration, handling financial operations and administrative management for over four years.
