Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Iron Mountain Data Centers has announced the appointment of Rajesh Tapadia as its Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for India. In this role, he will spearhead the company’s expansion in India’s fast-growing digital infrastructure market, strengthening its position as a leading provider of secure, scalable, and sustainable data center solutions. With over two decades of experience in the data center and cloud services industry, Tapadia’s leadership is expected to drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric innovations.
Before joining Iron Mountain Data Centers, Tapadia served as Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Nxtra by Airtel, where he played a pivotal role in scaling Nxtra’s data center operations across India. During his tenure, he led business expansion, infrastructure growth, and service innovation to cater to the rising demand for cloud and data storage solutions.

Prior to Airtel, he was CEO of Nxtra Data Limited, where he led the company’s transformation into a key player in India’s data center ecosystem. His efforts focused on expanding network infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency, and strengthening strategic partnerships.
Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Netmagic Solutions (An NTT Communications Company), where he served as Senior EVP, Chief Service Officer & Director on the Board, contributing to the company’s growth, service excellence, and innovation in managed services.
Tapadia’s extensive experience also includes leadership positions at Trimax IT Infrastructure & Services Ltd, FLAG Telecom, Reliance Communications, and Genpact, where he honed his expertise in data center operations, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and digital transformation.
