Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, May 2026 — Schneider Electric has appointed Ramkumar K as General Manager – Head of Commercial (End to End), Southern Region. Based in Chennai, he will oversee commercial operations and drive strategic business initiatives to support the company’s growth and operational objectives.
Ramkumar brings significant leadership experience across the renewable energy, wind energy, and industrial sectors, with deep expertise in commercial management, P&L leadership, service operations, asset management, customer engagement, and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Schneider Electric, he served as Senior Service Portfolio Manager at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Power Private Limited, where he led service portfolios covering more than 2,000 wind turbine generators and solar assets exceeding 2.1 GW across India and Sri Lanka. In this role, he managed strategic growth, commercial contract management, service revenue expansion, operational efficiency, digital transformation, and multi-country leadership.
Earlier, Ramkumar spent nearly a decade with GE Renewable Energy, where he held multiple leadership roles including Customer Service Manager, Lead Service Manager – Operation & Maintenance, and Lead Services Specialist – O&M Station Management. During his tenure, he led large-scale wind turbine service operations, managed regional P&L responsibilities, improved turbine performance and reliability, drove digital transformation initiatives, and strengthened customer relationships across key renewable energy projects.
Before GE Renewable Energy, he worked with Batli Boi Enxco Private Limited as Senior Forecast Analyst, focusing on wind power forecasting and asset management, and earlier spent over five years with Suzlon Group, where he gained strong operational and technical expertise in wind turbine operations, maintenance, commissioning, SCADA systems, and reliability improvement programs.
He began his career with VDB Electricals Private Limited, supervising electrical installation and panel board projects.
