Rashmi Kathuria Elevated to Executive Director (SCCS) & Unit Head, Ghaziabad Complex at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)

Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, August 2026 — Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has elevated Rashmi Kathuria to the position of Executive Director (Strategic Communication & Communication Systems – SCCS) and Unit Head, Ghaziabad Complex. In her expanded leadership role, she will lead the Strategic Communication & Communication Systems (SCCS) business while overseeing operations at the Ghaziabad Complex, driving technological innovation, operational excellence, and the execution of key strategic defence programs.

Bringing over 36 years of experience in defence electronics, strategic communications, satellite communication, operational leadership, and defence technology, Rashmi Kathuria has built a distinguished career with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). Her long-standing contribution to India’s defence electronics sector reflects deep expertise in delivering advanced communication systems and strengthening indigenous defence capabilities.

Prior to this elevation, Rashmi served as General Manager – Ghaziabad Complex, where she headed the Ghaziabad Complex and the Satellite Communication Strategic Business Unit (SBU). In this capacity, she led critical satellite communication and defence technology initiatives, overseeing strategic programs that enhanced BEL’s capabilities in secure communication systems while ensuring operational excellence across one of the company’s key manufacturing and technology centres.

Since joining BEL in 1989 as Assistant General Manager (AGM), Rashmi has steadily progressed through leadership roles over a career spanning more than three decades. Throughout her tenure, she has played an instrumental role in advancing BEL’s strategic communication capabilities, supporting mission-critical defence programs, and contributing to the company’s continued leadership in indigenous aerospace and defence electronics. Her elevation recognizes her significant contributions and positions her to lead BEL’s SCCS business into its next phase of growth and innovation.
