Helsinki, Finland, May 2026 — Riku Helander has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Digita Oy, effective May 1, 2026, marking a significant leadership transition for the Finnish digital infrastructure and broadcasting services provider.
In his new role, Riku Helander will lead Digita Oy’s strategic direction, focusing on strengthening its position across broadcasting, telecom infrastructure, IoT services, and data center solutions, while driving innovation in digital connectivity and next-generation technologies.
Riku brings extensive leadership experience across telecom, technology, and industrial sectors. Prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Vice President, Telecom at Digita Oy, where he played a key role in advancing the company’s telecom business and service portfolio.
Before joining Digita, he spent over seven years at Normet Group, where he held multiple leadership roles, including Senior Vice President and Head of Services Business Line, driving global services growth and managing full P&L responsibility.
Earlier in his career, Riku held leadership positions at Cisco, Juniper Networks, and Nokia, building deep expertise across enterprise business, IoT innovation, mobility solutions, and large-scale telecom operations.
He has also contributed to several organizations in governance roles, including serving as Board Member at Auramarine Ltd, Chairman at Mining Finland, and Chairman of the Board at Remion Ltd, reflecting his strong industry influence and leadership across technology and sustainability-driven sectors.
With decades of experience spanning telecom, digital infrastructure, IoT, and global business leadership, Riku Helander is well-positioned to lead Digita Oy into its next phase of growth and technological advancement.
