Gurugram, Haryana, India, May 2026 – COWI has elevated Ritu Kumar to the role of Director People & Organization (India, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic) & COWI Academy, further expanding her leadership responsibilities across global people strategy, talent development, and organizational capability building.
In her new role, Ritu will continue leading strategic people and organization initiatives across multiple geographies while also driving the growth and development agenda through the COWI Academy, supporting the company’s long-term talent and leadership vision.
Ritu Kumar has built an extensive leadership journey with COWI spanning more than 14 years, progressing through several strategic HR and people leadership roles across India and global operations.
Prior to her latest appointment, she served as Director P&O (India, Lithuania, Poland), Global People Services, COWI Academy, Head of Group TA, where she led regional people strategy, global people services, talent acquisition, and leadership development initiatives.
Earlier, she held multiple progressive leadership roles including Director People & Organization (India, Lithuania, Poland), Global People Services & Technology, Director Human Resources India, Lithuania & Poland | Global HR Services | Communication & CSR, and Director Human Resources India, Middle East & Global HR Services, contributing significantly to the company’s global HR transformation, talent strategy, recruitment services, and organizational development initiatives.
Before stepping into director-level responsibilities, Ritu served as Head Human Resources – India, Middle East & Global Recruitment Services, Head Human Resources, Global Recruitment Services, and Head Human Resources, where she played a key role in defining and implementing HR and talent strategies aligned with the company’s international growth agenda.
Earlier in her career, she worked with DSM as Manager – HR and with Punj Lloyd as Senior Executive HR, building strong expertise across people management, organizational development, and talent operations.
Ritu has also completed a Leadership & Change Management program from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
