Port Moresby, National Capital District, Papua New Guinea, May 2025 – Roberta Morlin has been appointed as Head of People & Culture Operations and Shared Services at BSP Financial Group Limited, where she will lead the transformation of operational HR services to enhance employee experience and drive strategic enablement across BSP’s Pacific operations.

Over the past six years at BSP, Roberta has held several key leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Head of Employee Experience, where she led workforce management initiatives, implemented group-wide employee engagement surveys across seven countries, and governed change management programs supporting BSP’s HR modernization.

Prior to this, she served as Head of Strategy & Change, People & Culture, where she led critical people transformation programs, collaborated with Melbourne Business School and INSEAD on leadership development for over 30 leaders, and played a pivotal role in rebranding HR to People & Culture across the organization.

She also previously held the role of Head of HR Projects, where she successfully implemented a digital adoption strategy and introduced performance management and electronic documentation systems. Her contributions laid the groundwork for broader HR system modernization across BSP Group.

Roberta’s earlier roles in BSP include leading the Digital Strategy and Insights teams, contributing to customer-centric initiatives and data-driven banking strategies. In addition to her corporate career, she is the founder of Emcare Pacific, a now-concluded chatbot-based FemTech startup, and has held ambassadorial and board roles promoting youth leadership and business innovation in Papua New Guinea.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
