Kansas City, Missouri, United States, April 2025 – Ryan J. Williams has taken on the role of Vice President, People North America at BlueScope, where he will lead the human capital strategy for over 4,000 employees across five businesses in North America. In this capacity, he is responsible for shaping organizational effectiveness, workforce transformation, and strategic HR operations that align with BlueScope’s sustainability-driven growth.
Prior to joining BlueScope, Ryan J. Williams served as Chief Human Resources Officer at MP Materials, where he spearheaded the global people agenda for the Western Hemisphere’s largest rare earth materials producer, enabling operations critical to electric vehicles, wind turbines, and advanced technologies.
Earlier, he held multiple roles at ofi (formerly Olam), including Senior Vice President Human Resources & Global SVP HR Spices, where he supported 5,000+ employees across North America and led global HR for Spices across multiple continents. He played a pivotal role in integrating five acquisitions and delivering strategic optimization projects.
Previously, Ryan was Vice President of Global Human Resources at InterFlex Group, a Bain Capital portfolio company, where he led HR transformation during high-growth, cross-border M&A activity. His earlier career includes HR leadership roles at Siegwerk, Franke, Marcal Paper, and The Newark Group, where he focused extensively on labor relations, culture alignment, and organizational change.
Notably, Ryan also served as a Professor of Business Management at Brigham Young University – Idaho, combining academic insights with real-world leadership in HR and finance.
