New York, United States, December 2024 – Ryan MacDonald has assumed the role of Chief Marketing Officer for Chase Consumer Bank, where he will lead marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement, drive growth, and reinforce Chase’s position as a leader in financial services.
Ryan brings over 20 years of extensive experience in marketing and leadership within Chase and its affiliated entities. Prior to this role, he served as Head of Growth Financial Products, Consumer Bank, overseeing innovative strategies that expanded the bank’s product reach and customer acquisition efforts. His expertise includes crafting marketing narratives, leading high-performing teams, and utilizing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
Previously, Ryan held senior roles at J.P. Morgan, including Global Chief Marketing Officer, Managing Director, Payments, where he led a global team of over 170 professionals. His tenure included establishing a unified value story and spearheading initiatives across Treasury, Merchant Services, and Commercial Card divisions. Before that, as Global Chief Marketing Officer, Managing Director, Merchant Services, he directed client experience insights and marketing strategies for a range of client segments, achieving significant business outcomes.
Ryan’s career at Chase spans multiple impactful roles, including Executive Director, Head of Brand & Advertising for Chase’s credit card portfolio, where he drove brand strategies and launched new products. He also played a pivotal role in digital and direct marketing innovations during his earlier positions at the company.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. His ability to blend creative vision with operational execution has been instrumental in delivering results throughout his career.
