Irving, Texas, United States, June 2026 — Ryan Stafford has started a new position as Vice President Talent Management at Fluor Corporation. In this role, he will lead the company’s enterprise-wide talent strategy, overseeing talent acquisition, talent mobility, leadership development, succession planning, and workforce capability initiatives designed to support Fluor’s continued growth and global business objectives.
With more than two decades of leadership experience spanning human resources, talent management, workforce transformation, organizational effectiveness, labor relations, executive development, sales, marketing, and operations, Ryan brings a unique blend of strategic and operational expertise to his new position.
Prior to joining Fluor Corporation, Ryan Stafford spent nearly twenty-seven years with AT&T, where he held a series of progressively senior leadership positions across human resources, talent management, business operations, sales, marketing, and executive development. Most recently, he served as Assistant Vice President Human Resources Business Partner, leading a team of HR Business Partners supporting AT&T’s global Network Organization and aligning HR strategy with business objectives for approximately 50,000 employees responsible for building and maintaining wireless, fiber, and network infrastructure worldwide.
Before that, Ryan served as AVP Human Resources, Labor Relations, where he led company and union relations, workforce planning, collective bargaining, grievance management, and labor strategy for more than 20,000 employees. He also held the role of AVP – Human Resources, Chief of Staff and HR Business Partner, partnering directly with senior HR leadership while leading enterprise-wide initiatives related to organizational effectiveness, diversity, equity and inclusion, executive communications, board presentations, and process transformation.
Earlier in his AT&T career, Ryan served as AVP – Human Resources Business Partner supporting finance and corporate functions across more than 20 countries, AVP – Training, Leadership Development & Executive Programming, and AVP Human Resources, Technology and Operations. During these assignments, he played a key role in creating AT&T’s unified learning ecosystem, leading executive development programs, designing workforce transformation initiatives, and delivering leadership development experiences that impacted more than 200,000 employees globally.
His earlier leadership assignments at AT&T included roles as Executive Director Human Resources, Training and Executive Development, Director Marketing Communication, Director of Retail Sales, General Manager – Consumer Sales, and Director – Consumer Advertising. He also held leadership responsibilities across finance, customer operations, network functions, advertising, and strategic business initiatives, including supporting the launch of major telecommunications services. Throughout his tenure, Ryan established a strong reputation for developing talent, building high-performing teams, and driving organizational transformation.
In addition to his corporate leadership experience, Ryan has served as a Leadership Instructor at TCU Neeley Executive Education, SMU Cox School of Business Executive Education, and Collin Corporate College, where he has taught leadership, performance management, executive communication, career planning, feedback, and organizational effectiveness.
Ryan Stafford holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Colorado State University Global, further strengthening his expertise in talent management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
