London, England, United Kingdom, June 2024 – Ali Trauttmansdorff has joined BMS Group as the new Group Chief People Officer. Trauttmansdorff is excited to join the team at One America Square and contribute to BMS Group’s growth, aiming to build a leading specialty insurance and reinsurance broker globally while fostering a thriving culture for its people.
Trauttmansdorff’s most recent role was at Global Wealth and Asset Manager (AlTi), where she served as Chief Human Resources Officer for approximately two and a half years. During her tenure, she developed the HR function in preparation for a three-way merger and listing on the NASDAQ. She created people committees, enhanced the EVP across the firm, introduced executive compensation plans and employee equity, transformed the Talent Acquisition strategy, and led an HRIS transformation. Trauttmansdorff also oversaw the London Office, due diligence initiatives on behalf of the HR function, and served as a member of the EXCO and Co-Chair of the DE&I Committee.
In addition to her full-time roles, Trauttmansdorff has been actively involved with the City HR Association as a Vice Chair for nearly four years, providing part-time support and governance. She has also served as an Advisory Board Member for TLC Lions for over five years, contributing her expertise in nonprofit board development and business strategy.
Trauttmansdorff has been a dedicated GB Age Group Triathlete with the British Triathlon Federation for nearly nine years, competing in numerous international events and earning accolades such as the British Standard Bronze in Leeds in 2017 and 2019. She is also a British Triathlon Federation Coach Level 1.
Earlier in her career, Trauttmansdorff held the position of Global Human Resources Director (Managing Director) at Rothschild & Co for nearly 14 years. In this role, she oversaw global HR teams, managed talent acquisition and development, and led diversity and inclusion initiatives. She was responsible for global annual compensation reviews, appraisals, promotions, and various strategic projects across geographies.
Trauttmansdorff’s career also includes roles as an Independent HR Adviser and Member of Council at Aston University, Vice Chair of Governors at Staples Road Primary School, and an International Advisory Board Member at Aston Business School. She started her HR career with a significant tenure at Goldman Sachs, where she held various leadership positions, including Executive Director, Divisional HR for Investment and Merchant Banking, EMEA and Head of Graduate Recruitment, EMEA.
