Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 – Sachin Bhat has taken on a new role as Associate Vice President – HR at Ion Exchange (India) Ltd, where he will be leading Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, and New Hire Experience across the company’s operations. In this strategic leadership role, he will oversee hiring across corporate, manufacturing plants, sales and service teams, and research centres on a pan-India scale, supported by a strong team of TA professionals.
Prior to this appointment, Sachin Bhat served at Tata Motors for approximately three years, where he most recently held the position of Head – Talent Acquisition & HRBP for the West and South Zones for the Trucks and Buses business. In this capacity, he partnered closely with business leaders to design and implement people strategies aligned with business goals. His accomplishments included leading strategic workforce planning, managing the employee lifecycle for over 600 employees, and executing impactful L&D and employee engagement initiatives. He earned multiple accolades, including Gold and Silver Awards for diversity hiring, culture initiatives, and digital transformation efforts in HR.
Before his tenure at Tata Motors, Sachin worked with PPG Asian Paints as Head – Talent Acquisition & Country HRBP (Sales and After Sales). Over nearly one and a half years, he played a pivotal role in driving end-to-end HR for a 700+ employee base across sales, service, and R&D. His contributions spanned across talent management, onboarding, capability building, performance management, and organization-wide strategic HR projects in collaboration with the CHRO.
Earlier, he was associated with Novartis, where he served as Senior Manager – HR Business Partner & Lead ER/IR at the Sandoz Kalwe Plant. In this role, Sachin managed the full employee lifecycle for over 600 employees and led various critical talent and employee relations initiatives, including goal cascading, workforce planning, Gallup-based engagement drives, and disciplinary proceedings.
Prior to this, Sachin had an extensive and impactful five-year journey at Tata Motors, where he held regional and national HRBP roles for Sales and Spare Parts. He was instrumental in performance management, recognition programs, employee development, and implementing strategic talent initiatives such as MCAT and FTSS. His earlier stints also included key HR roles at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Centum Learning, and ICICI Lombard, contributing to talent acquisition, employee engagement, and training across diverse sectors and geographies.
