In this expanded role, he will lead Intel’s AI roadmap, research, and product innovation efforts through Intel Labs, while enhancing collaboration with the developer community and AI startup ecosystem.
Katti brings with him decades of distinguished experience across Intel, Stanford University, Uhana, and Kumu Networks. He has been a critical figure at Intel, most recently serving as Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Network and Edge Group, where he was responsible for shaping the future of distributed computing and intelligent networks. Before that, he was Chief Technology Officer for the same division, guiding the technical direction of Intel’s edge and network strategy.
Beyond Intel, Katti is a tenured professor at Stanford University, where he has been part of the faculty for over 15 years, advancing research in wireless communications, networking, and AI systems. He also co-founded Uhana, an AI-driven network optimization startup later acquired by VMware, and Kumu Networks, a company renowned for pioneering full-duplex wireless communications technology.
His elevation comes at a pivotal moment for Intel, which is doubling down on AI integration across its hardware and software stack, from datacenter to edge, to consumer platforms.
