Sahana Shankar has recently taken up the mantle as Head of India HR at Duck Creek Technologies. With an impressive career spanning over two decades, Shankar brings a wealth of experience to her new position, tasked with spearheading the company’s HR initiatives across India. Her focus will be on establishing Duck Creek as a center of excellence and enhancing the company’s brand from a talent perspective.
Before her current role, Shankar was a Director of Human Resources at SGI in Toronto, Canada. Here, she led the Talent Transformation agenda, focusing on leadership development, performance management, and succession planning, among other strategic HR initiatives.
Prior to SGI, Shankar shaped the People Success agenda at Y Media Labs as the Director of People Success. She was responsible for onboarding, performance management, HR operations, and strategic initiatives globally aligned to business goals, establishing a process-driven and proactive people success organization.
Earlier, Shankar was a Senior Manager of Talent Management at MiQ, where she developed and led strategies to enhance employee engagement and formulated a comprehensive compensation and benefits philosophy aimed at making MiQ a preferred workplace.
Shankar also held significant roles at Paladion and Brillio, where she contributed to global people strategies and organizational development initiatives that aligned closely with business needs. Her earlier experiences include impactful positions in HR at Mindtree and Cognizant Technology Solutions, rounding out a robust portfolio of HR leadership across the technology sector.
