Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, November 2025 — Sanket Atal has taken on the role of India Country Head and Senior Vice President, Engineering at OpenText, where he will lead engineering operations, innovation, and strategic initiatives across the company’s India centers. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Sanket brings a wealth of leadership experience from renowned organizations including Salesforce, Intuit, Oracle, MakeMyTrip, and CA Technologies.
At Salesforce, he served as Managing Director of India Operations and Site Lead for Technology, Marketing, and Product, driving the company’s rapid growth and innovation footprint in India. During his tenure at Intuit India as Managing Director, Sanket played a pivotal role in establishing the site as one of the nation’s best workplaces, launching key programs such as Intuit Circles, a global initiative supporting fintech startups and fostering ecosystem partnerships.
Prior to this, Sanket held senior leadership roles at Oracle, CA Technologies, and MakeMyTrip.com, where he led large-scale R&D operations and technology transformation programs, strengthening product innovation and digital capability development.
Sanket began his career at Informix Corporation and Sequent Computer Inc., where he built a strong foundation in database management systems and parallel computing architectures, even co-authoring patents in SQL optimization. His early technical contributions at Informix helped the company transform from an entry-level DBMS provider into a billion-dollar enterprise.
With his appointment at OpenText, Sanket is set to strengthen the company’s engineering excellence, deepen its AI and cloud innovation capabilities, and reinforce India’s strategic role as a global technology hub within the organization.
