Geneva, Switzerland, June 2026 — Sarah Wohnlich Kane has begun a new chapter as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Trafigura. Kane brings nearly three decades of global leadership experience across human resources, organizational development, talent strategy, consulting, transformation, and executive leadership. Throughout her career, she has worked with some of the world’s leading organizations, helping shape people strategies, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
Prior to joining Trafigura, Kane served with Glencore for more than five years. Most recently, she was Global Head of Human Capital – Glencore Copper, where she led human capital strategy for one of the world’s largest copper businesses. Earlier, she served as Head of Group Organizational Development, driving enterprise-wide organizational effectiveness, talent, and leadership initiatives.In addition to her executive responsibilities, Kane currently serves as a Board Member at Magnolia One AG, a commercial real estate development company. She previously served as a Board Member at JANZZ Ltd, contributing strategic guidance and governance oversight.
Before joining Glencore, Kane held several senior leadership positions at PwC, including Global P&O Innovation & New Ventures Leader, Member of the PwC Europe Consulting Leadership Team, Advisory Partner, and Partner. During her tenure, she worked across human capital transformation, innovation, consulting, and organizational strategy initiatives on a global scale.
Earlier, she spent a decade with Deloitte, where she served as Partner and previously Director. At Deloitte Switzerland, she led the Human Capital Consulting practice, building one of the largest and most comprehensive human capital consulting teams in the Swiss market, supporting organizations across HR transformation, talent management, organizational change, and leadership development.
She began her consulting career with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, gaining foundational experience in business transformation and advisory services.With extensive expertise spanning human capital strategy, organizational development, leadership consulting, talent transformation, and executive governance, Kane is exceptionally positioned to lead Trafigura’s global people agenda as the organization continues its growth and transformation journey.
