Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, November 2025 — Saumya Agarwal has stepped into a significant new role as Director Talent Acquisition – Tech at JioHotstar, where she now leads the organisation’s technology hiring strategy for one of India’s largest and fastest-scaling digital entertainment platforms.
Before this elevation, Saumya most recently served as Talent Acquisition Manager – Engineering at JioHotstar, where she drove hiring for the full Engineering Business Unit. She scaled teams across Data Science, Machine Learning, Adtech, Subscription & Payments, Viewer Experience, Creator workflows, and new product initiatives. Her role blended hands-on leadership with team management, delivering high-quality hiring outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Prior to JioHotstar, Saumya worked with Disney+ Hotstar as Talent Acquisition Manager – Technology, where she led hiring for Product, Design, Consumer Experience, AdTech, Platform and Search/Recommendation domains. Her role spanned high-volume tech recruitment, strategic sourcing, stakeholder engagement, and enabling talent strategies within one of India’s most influential OTT platforms.
Earlier, Saumya served at Zeta Suite as a Recruiting Specialist, where she built engineering teams for SaaS products from the ground up. She supported full-cycle hiring, designed process improvements, developed dashboards for recruitment metrics, and managed a team of recruiters while partnering closely with business leaders.
Her longest tenure was with Publicis Sapient, where she spent over eight years across multiple roles including Senior Associate Talent Acquisition, Associate Technology Recruiter, and Recruitment Coordinator. She supported large-scale technology hiring, built niche engineering teams, worked with global ATS systems, and delivered recruitment strategies across high-demand engineering skill sets.
She began her early professional journey as Associate Hiring at Sapient Global Markets (Ma Foi Randstad), followed by an internship as HR Intern at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), gaining foundational experience in HR processes, candidate management, and recruitment operations.
